Heroes For Tonight

http://myspace.com/heroesfortonight

Left to Right
- Matt Stewart (bass/backing vocals), Adam Fields (drums), Cory Fuller (guitar/vocals), Drew Thebus (guitar/backing vocals)

Genre- Pop-punk/powerpop

Location- Scottsboro, Alabama

For fans of/sounds like- Blink-182, Mest, Plain White Ts, Boys Like Girls, Box Car Racer, New Found Glory, I Call Fives, Fight Fair, City Lights

If you only listen to ONE SONG by Band Name, you MUST listen to...
"Afloat On Hope"; "Dammit" (Blink-182 cover)

About the music/why it rocks/ why you should check it out- Heroes For Tonight is part Blink-182, part Mest, part their own thing. It's a little big late 1990s/early 2000s pop-punk, but current, too. Listening to HFT, the influences of (in particular) Blink-182 and Mest are pretty clear. On their Myspace, HFT says "We stay as positive as we can towards our fans. We know that life can sometimes be a struggle & we try to get people in a good mood & move past all the bad things with our music!"- and with their kick-ass blend of distorted guitars, upbeat (but not too fast) tempos, catchy melodies, and lyrics that just stick in your head, they definitely succeed in that. And they look pretty good while doing it.

Are you in a band, or do you know any awesome bands that you'd like to "nominate" to be in the 100 Bands Project? Send me an email at mollylh@live.com, with the band name, myspace/website link, band location (city and state/country, or if you'd prefer, a region- "Southern California", "New England", etc.), genre(s), what bands you think you sound like, band photo and member names (L to R, and what instrument they play), and anything else you think I should know about the band (if these things aren't available on the myspace). I'm open to solo artists, too. If I like your band, and I think other people will too, I will include you in the 100 Bands Project.
